Iran, India play major roles in fighting terrorism: Indian minister

'Terrorism is the biggest enemy of humanity and Islam,' Abbas Naqvi said on Friday in a meeting with the Iranian delegation from the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization.

'Cooperation between the two countries is the only way to confront terrorism,' he added, urging all countries to be united against terrorism.

Describing his meeting with the Iranian delegation as fruitful, he underscored that several issues including Iran-India cultural and terrorism were reviewed by the two sides.

Touching upon the historical and friendly relations between Iran and India, Naqvi added the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's last year visit to Iran has opened a new chapter for cementing mutual relations.
