Zarif said in the article themed ‘US Foreign Policy in Crisis’ that US withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has dealt a blow to the efforts to solve global issues through diplomacy.
He also underlined that US President Donald Trump’s administration does no respect for international agreements, as it regularly violates international laws.
Iran will not talk with a country which does not comply with international commitments and has attempted to kill several multilateral agreements, Zarif wrote.
According to Yeni Safak, Zarif also said that US government has been isolated due to its unilateral policies and efforts to undermine diplomacy and multilateralism.
Referring to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s 12 conditions to continue talks with Iran, Zarif said that international community has serious doubt on talks and agreements with the US due to its noncompliance with international commitments.
