Iran FM leaves Tehran for Vienna to attend JCPOA meeting

The ministerial meeting of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, headed by Federica Maria Mogherini High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, is expected to take place on Friday in the Austrian capital, Vienna.

The meeting on Friday will be the second since the US unilateral withdrawal from the landmark international nuclear deal.

The European parties of the deal are expected to offer Iran their economic package in a bid to guarantee financial and trade interests of the country while the United States has unilaterally abandoned the JCPOA and imposed new sanctions and economic barriers against Tehran.
