Kharrazi made the remarks in an exclusive interview with Italian daily newspaper, Il Manifesto.
US sanctions are not only against Iran, but are against the entire world, including Europe, the official said, adding, such unilateral sanctions will harm the interests of all the countries.
'The only way to counter the sanctions is to resist US pressure,' Kharrazi said. 'This is not the issue of helping Iran, but it is related to the European countries and their security.'
Asked about the possibility of Trump's eagerness to engage in talks with Iran after he has negotiated with Kim Jong-un, Kharrazi said: 'The US does want to engage in talks with us. This is Iran that is not ready to talk to the US. The reason for that is clear. Because we experienced negotiations with the US and saw the outcome.'
Although all the reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed Iran's commitment to its obligations under the nuclear deal, the United States decided to unilaterally withdraw from the accord, Kharrazi said.
'We have no confidence in the US,' the official added.
