Iran, Bulgaria stress broadening of parliamentary ties

Karayancheva referred to the background of relations between Iran and Bulgaria and expressed support for developing ties in all fields.

She also invited her Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani to have a visit to Bulgaria.

Bulgarian speaker pointed to the rotating presidency of Bulgaria in the European Union as a suitable opportunity for boosting ties between Iran and EU.

Zarif, for his part, conveyed Iran parliament speaker’s greeting and appreciated Bulgaria parliamentary supports.

He also expressed hope for promoting relations between two countries.

Head of Iran-Bulgaria parliamentary friendship group also presented a report on measures taken to reinforce ties.

Zarif, heading an economic delegation, is visiting Bulgaria as a part of his trip to Eastern Europe.

He also held talks with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Emil Lyubenov Karanikolov, the Eastern European country's Economy Minister and Bulgarian counterpart Ekaterina Zakharieva.
