Iran, Belarus urge media, information cooperation

Iranian Ambassador Mostafa Oveissi and Alexander Karlyukevich, during the meeting in the Belarusian capital discussed and examined ways to elevate media and information relations between the two countries.

Oveissi emphasized that Tehran and Minsk maintain shared stances on numerous international and regional developments.

He argued that by establishing mutual cooperation in giving information on such stances the two countries can set the ground for enhancing relations and preventing the third party meddling.

The Belarusian minister also called for more work to be done between the two countries' media in publication sector and holding exhibitions in Tehran and Minsk.

Both sides also discussed ways of cooperation in publishing books in Persian and Belarusian languages.
