Iran-Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia cooperation to strengthen regional stability

Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that the meeting to be attended by Azeri Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze will be held in Baku on March 15.

The four ministers are to discuss bilateral and trilateral cooperation during separate meetings while they will discuss cooperation among the four countries to boost regional peace, stability and security, economic transportation, energy, tourism and cultural cooperation and other issues of mutual concern.

The meeting is the first ever among the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan Republic, Turkey, Islamic Republic of Iran and Georgia.

Earlier, the Turkish, Georgian and Azeri foreign ministers convened on December 2017 while Iranian, Turkish and Azeri foreign ministers held talks in Baku on December 20, 2017.
