
Iran, Turkey and Georgia are under a visa waiver program, Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a joint press conference held after the first quadrilateral meeting of Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia, on Thursday.
The press conference was held with the attendance of Zarif, and Mikheil Janelidze, Mevlut Cavusoglu and Elmar Mammadyarov, his respective Georgian, Turkish and Azeri counterparts.
He also expressed hope for Iranians to enjoy the visa facilitation soon.
Paying attention to people to people relations and developing tourism relations were among topics discussed in the quadrilateral meeting, he said.
The commute of tourists has been facilitated between the four countries, he added.
Iran shares a lot in commonalities with Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia, regarding historical, cultural and geographical issues, Zarif added.
Our cooperation will bring about peace and stability in the region, he said.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also referred to energy, transit, tourism, industry and technology fields as major cooperation grounds which were mentioned in the final statement of the conference.
Referring to transit of goods as one of the most important ground of cooperation, Zarif said it will connect the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean to the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.
It will also provide a safe, fast and secure route for Iran, he added.
