Iran attends Asian Parliamentary Assembly

The Iranian delegation comprising members of parliament took part the event.

Members of Executive Council of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly are supposed to hold talks with President of National Assembly of Cambodia Heng Samrin.

Reviewing the proposed draft resolution of the permanent committee for political affairs and discussing the proposed draft resolution of the committee for economic and sustainable development affairs are among the programs of the event.

The Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) was born in 2006 at the Seventh Session of the Association of Asian Parliamentary for Peace (AAPP). In other words, the APA is continuation of an organization which was established in 1999. The APA comprises, in 2007, of 41 Member Parliaments and 17 observers.

APA aims at reinforcing freedom, equality, justice, social welfare, security, stability, peace, friendship and convergence in Asia.
