Mahmoud Heidari wrote in an article published in the ‘Bosnian Daily’ on Wednesday on the occasion of 25th inaugural anniversary of Iran’s Embassy in Sarajevo that Iran believes that consolidating ties with Bosnia-Herzegovina can help promote regional ties in Balkans and the Middle East.
Following collapse of former Yugoslavia, Iran was among the first to recognize Bosnian independence and stood alongside its government and nation, he said, noting that Iran’s ties with the country have always been friendly since then.
The two countries have also signed several economic agreements in various fields, including trade, banking, investment, transportation and trade relations have always been established, he said.
Given the economic capacities of the two countries, grounds are now prepared for their private sectors to cooperate with each other, he said.
