Ali-Akbar Velayati, who is also special envoy of President Rouhani in the visit, conveyed verbal message of the Supreme Leader and the written of the Chief Executive to the top Russian official during a meeting held in Putin's residence northwest of the capital city of Moscow.

Iran's Ambassador to Moscow Mehdi Sanaei and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov were also present in the meeting.

Velayati arrived in Russian capital on Wednesday.
