Speaking to Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Faisal Mekdad said, 'We will make every effort to make the Quds flag flying, and the city will be returned to its real owners.'
Israel is trying to destroy the region and Quds, and to reach the goal it fabricates stories and distorts realities, he said.
Quds belongs to the Palestine nation, and the land should remain open to all Muslims and Christians for performing their religious rituals, the Syrian official said.
Referring to plots by enemies against the Iranian people and government, Mekdad said that Syria has always regarded the anti-Iran plots as conspiracies against itself, and will remain beside the Iranian nation.
Every year on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, the Iranians and all the supporters of the Palestinians across the world take to the streets to express solidarity with them.
