Speaking in an exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Ali Barke said that the purpose for formation of the UNRWA was to organize the displaced refugees until they return to their homeland according to the UN resolution.
'it is clear that the real purpose behind the decision of the United States was to neglect the right of the Palestinians to return, and this a new hostility with Palestine issue.'
The US State Department said last Friday that it would cut off its aid to UNRWA. The United States described the reason for such action as an inappropriate performance of UNRWA and its correction.
Barke considered America's decision to come up with a plan called the 'Deal of the Century', followed by actions such as the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the Zionist regime and the transfer of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the occupied Ghods.
Hamas representative in Lebanon, in response to a question about the veracity of some news releases related to the pressure from the United States to Jordan and Egypt to grant nationality to Palestinians, said, 'Regardless of how rigorous this information is, we insist that the Palestinian people will reject the idea of an alternative to their land.'
'The Palestinians, who were displaced since 1948, insist on their right to return to their land. Each side, whether it be any country or any official or official, cannot at any time ignore or overlook the right to return of the Palestinian people, because we consider this right sacred, whether at the Individual or collective level.'
