Friendship group urges boost of ties between Iran, Kuwait

Speaking at the introduction ceremony of Iran's new Ambassador to Kuwait City on Thursday, Chairman of the Kuwaiti-Iranian Friendship Association Abdulrahman Al-Awadi said that the Association is attaching much importance to popular and semi-official relations with the Iran.

'Currently, close relations between Iran and Kuwait in all spheres are urgently needed,' he said referring to the two nations' 'undetachable historical and popular bonds'.

Mohammad Irani, the new Iranian ambassador to Kuwait said that the social and cultural commonalities are rooted in the history of the two nations, and the role of Iranians in prosperity and building Kuwait is undeniable.

Iran has always been a fateful friend to their neighbors, particularly in crises, he said.
