Highlighting significance of relations with Tehran and the country’s regional status, Montaigne voiced France’s readiness for benefiting from political and economic capacities of the region as well as regional consultations.
Referring to Iran’s compliance with its commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal, officially known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the French official said that Paris priority is full implementation of the deal as well as adherence of all of the parties to it.
Given high capacities for boosting bilateral cooperation, he also stressed the need for promoting economic and commercial exchanges between Tehran and Paris.
Delfi, for his part, pointed to positive developments in bilateral ties, stressing the need for implementation of agreements reached during President Rouhani’s visit to France in January 2017 including the roadmap for promoting mutual cooperation.
Reiterating Iran’s compliance with JCPOA, the ambassador highlighted EU and France’s role in helping implementation of the agreement.
