'Fortunately, the pros and cons of the Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering (FATF) have extensively talked about it and a mutual understanding has taken form,' said Hamid Baeedinejad.
Saying that the FATF has been discussed thoroughly in the Majlis (Iranian Parliament), Baeedinejad added, 'In the last session of the body, the United States, the Zionist regime, Saudi Arabia, and Argentina tried to put Iran on the black list again.'
The FATF is an inter-governmental body established in 1989 by the G7 to investigate the money laundering laws in different markets throughout the world.
'The objectives of the FATF are to set standards and promote effective implementation of legal, regulatory and operational measures for combating money laundering, terrorist financing and other related threats to the integrity of the international financial system,' the organizations official website wrote.
The investigation of the 9/11 incident was a duty of the international body.
