Former French FM due in Tehran tonight

Diplomatic adviser of President Mitterrand, Vedrine served as secretary-general of the presidency from 1991 to 1995, then as Foreign Minister in the government of Lionel Jospin from 1997 to 2002.

Vedrine had a trip to Iran last year during which he held talks with Iranian officials namely Kamal Kharrazi, Chairman of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations.
