Foreign diplomats in Pakistan, officials, lawmakers saddened over Iran devastating quake

They expressed their sympathies in telephonic talks to Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost. The Iranian flag at the embassy also remained at half-mast over the tragic incident.
A 7.3-magnitude earthquake shook the western province of Kermanshah and the regions bordering Iraq on Sunday night. The quake was felt in some neighboring countries as well.
Based on the latest statistics, at least 432 people have been reported killed and over 7,817 injured in quake-stricken areas in Iran.
Earlier Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi conveyed deepest condolences on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan to the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Iranian brethren on the devastating earthquake.
On the other hand, Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif extended his deepest condolences over the loss of lives in the tragic calamity, and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured persons.
Meanwhile Chief Minister of Punjab province Shehbaz Sharif also expressed grief and sorrow over loss of lives and properties in the aftermath of the destructive earthquake.
