FM spox strongly condemns attack on Iran Embassy in London

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for political affairs Abbas Araqchi has immediately filed Iran’s protest to the UK envoy to Tehran Nicholas Hopton, Bahram Qasemi said.

Araqchi also called for London Police's full protection of Iranian diplomats and urgent action against attackers.

Qasemi went on to say that the British envoy officially apologized for the accident, saying the riot police have been deployed around the embassy and the situation is under control.

All necessary measures have been taken to protect Iranian diplomats and prevent attackers from entering the embassy building, he added.
