Rejecting the 'biased and unfounded' claim about the dual citizenship status of the newly-appointed ambassador, the Foreign Ministry's public relations said this claim like claims raised earlier is completely undocumented, unfounded and false.

The surveys and studies carried out by the foreign ministry show that she (Ms. Farshchi) has no residence permit or citizenship of any foreign country and those making up such false stories are pursuing certain cheap personal or factional goals.

Mr. Farshchi, appointed on Tuesday as the new ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Finland has earlier served as deputy head of the Department of Environment.
