Europe to broaden all out relations with Iran: Finish minister

He made the remarks on the sidelines of the 107th Session of the International Labor Conference in Geneva on Tuesday.

Speaking with Iran's Minister for Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Ali Rabei, he said some 70 to 80 Finish companies are now working in Iran, he said.

Finland along with other EU members is committed to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and also invites Iran to stay in the treaty, he said.

He welcomed promotion of cooperation between the two ministries and said 'We are in two different countries but with similar problems.'

Finland is to help Iran create more employment opportunities for the youths, he said.

The Iranian minister, for his part, referred to the JCPOA and said the US president assumed that after withdrawing from the JCPOA, Iran would do the same but 'we stayed in the internationally recognized treaty and believe that we can continue cooperation with Europe without the US.'

The prospect for relations between Iran and Finland is very promising, he said.

Iran is to exchange experience in various fields such as eradication of poverty, decreasing unemployment rate and promotion of technical and vocational courses, he said.
