Deputy Chairman of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization (IMO), Hadi Haghshenas, told IRNA on Thursday that the two Iranian vessels had been entrusted to a Korean company to set up a bridge in Kuwait.
He said the Kuwaitis' move was apparently due to dispute between Tidewater Co., Kuwaiti company and Korean contractor.
Haghshenas added that the Iranian vessels were seized in Kuwait for more than 20 days.
'The vessels' crew is not in fuel and food shortage and efforts are underway to secure their return to Iran soon,' he announced, adding the crew have been facing no problem yet.
