Defense minister: Iranian nation not afraid of enemies

Addressing a local gathering in Tehran, General Hatami said Iran stands firmly and bravely against enemies' threats.

'Thanks to Iranians' strong authority,' he said, 'the enemies' dreams did not come true.'

The top commander said the Iranian military forces enjoy enormous defensive capabilities and have always safeguarded the national security and interests.

He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always tried to establish security and tranquility in the region.

Referring to the prudent policy annouced by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to support the Iranian products, he said the Ministry of Defense will try to produce the indigenous products as a substitute for foreign-made weaponry.
