Death toll from Kabul suicide attack rises to 48

A big explosion was heard in western Kabul at 16:00 hours local time which was later made known that a suicide bomber targeted students taking exams at a private education center.

The spokesman for the Afghan ministry of health in his latest interview said 48 people had been killed and 67 others wounded in the attack.

Taliban in a statement said it had no part in the attack.

Usually the blame for attacks on defenseless people in mostly Shia-populated areas in Afghanistan is put on Daesh terrorist organization while Taliban claims responsibility of attacks on government forces and military centers.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in a statement issued today denounced the deadly Kabul attack.
