Chinese ambassador said in a meeting with the Head of Iran-China parliamentary friendship group Alaeddin Boroujerdi on Wednesday.
Beijing is to broaden cooperation with Tehran in various sectors, he said.
Continued exchange of visits between the two sides' officials indicate firm determinations of both sides high-ranking officials, said the ambassador.
China and Iran through expansion of regional and international cooperation can adopt logical and sound policies in dealing with US hegemonies, he said.
Boroujerdi, for his part, said the time is ripe for powerful countries mainly China to stand against Trump abnormal policies.
Top officials in Iran and China call for expansion of political, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries, he said.
Trump's wrong and irrational policies will backfire, Boroujerdi underlined.
There are huge potentials in energy, agriculture and industry between Iran and China which should be expanded in line with both sides' interests, he said.
Exchange of high-ranking political and parliamentary delegations between the two countries on regional and international issues are of prime importance, Boroujerdi said.
