BBC Persian White House bellboy

'A media network which describes itself as the global newsroom, acted unprofessionally in its evening news service on Saturday to reflect claims by the Americans suggesting that Iranian hackers have attacked universities in the United States to steal data,' Ahmad Jafari Chamazkoti said in an opinion piece.

'By putting on air an array of interviews, the BBC Persian, served [US new National Security Advisor John] Bolton just like a media bellboy,' Jafari Chamazkoti added.

He went on to slam the BBC Persian for its hasty reaction and its attempt to reverberate the issue without investigation.

Their hasty behavior in following the same plans devised by the new hardliners who have joined [US President Donald] Trump and his team, is solely indicative of the professional level possessed by the BBC which is working closely in cooperation with the British intelligence agencies, he said.

Jafari Chamazkoti stressed that none of the Iranian expatriates, even those who have problems with the political system in Iran, want to see the shadow of war casting over the Iranian people.

'It is quite surprising how the BBC Persian's Iranian crew members are beating on drums of war even more enthusiastically than Bolton,' he said.

The deputy IRNA managing director for news said that the Iranian expatriates who are working for the British-based news network and the Iranian people are not following the same path.

The BBC Persian, by showing Bolton among members of Mojahedin Khalq terrorist organization (MKO), the same people who were given a safe haven in Iraq under the deposed former Iraqi ruler Saddam and aided the dictator in his war against Iran, demonstrated that the Iranian BBC Persian crew members are following a path different from the one followed by the Iranian people, he said.

'The Iranian people since the outset of the victory of the [1970] Islamic Revolution have been used to witnessing the dagger of treason. They are the same people who managed to defend with utmost power the achievements of their civilization. This is the same nation, whose young men managed to annihilate the barbaric brutal Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group in the Middle East,' he said.

'Yet, in the same TV channel they were portrayed as supporting terrorism,' he stressed.

Jafari Chamazkoti advised the western media to stop threatening Iran with wars.

'The worst scenario with Bolton, you argue, is a military confrontation. Please do not threaten us with wars,' he said.

What the Iranian young men and women did will go down in history. Have a look on today's Middle East. The Iranians are very sophisticated at bringing back down to earth the megalomaniac world powers, he added.
