Azerbaijan PM, Iran minister discuss regional issues

In the meeting, the Azeri prime minister said bilateral relationship between the two countries is at its highest level and has capacity for further expansion.
Rasizade added that expansion of economic ties between the two countries is very important for Iran and pointed that the two states have more capacities for promotion of relations.
Hatami conveyed the greetings of Iranian First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri to the Azeri PM and said that Iranian officials intend to bolster ties with brotherly and friendly country of Azerbaijan Republic.
He said that defense and military relations between the two countries are at a satisfactory level now and Iran hopes to promote the ties to a strategic level.
The Iranian defense minister arrived in Baku on Wednesday morning at the invitation of his Azeri counterpart Zakir Hasanov. He has so far met with Azerbaijan Republic President Ilham Aliyev, Defense Minister Hasanov and minister of defense Industry and discussed issues of mutual interests with them.
