
Nalbandyan, made the remarks in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif on the sidelines of the 72nd meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Friday.
He said the Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan is slated a pay an official visit to Tehran within days, adding that Yerevan is preparing the necessary measures for the upcoming visit.
While in Tehran, the Armenian PM is scheduled to discuss the ways to foster economic relations with Iran, Nalbandyan said.
He described tourism as the most important issue in the economic relations between the two countries, adding that Armenia has approved visa-free travel between Tehran and Yerevan to lure more tourists from Islamic Republic.
He also voiced Yerevan's willingness to expand the level of mutual economic relations between the two countries.
