Armenia accepts the Minsk process for resolution of conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh and believes that the conflict should be resolved through peaceful ways, Nicol Pashinyan said on Tuesday.
He underlined that the people of Nagorno-Karabakh should themselves have the final say.
The Armenian official noted that Yerevan is ready to attend the talks for resolution of the conflict.
The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict started in 1988 and led to armed clashes after the Soviet Union collapse in the early 1990s. In spite of a ceasefire signed in 1994, tensions continued in the region. The region is internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan; however, it is governed by the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
