Anti-Iran conference in Poland a failure for Europe: MP

Fox News, quoting the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, reported on Friday that Washington would hold a summit with participation of number of heads of states about Iran in February.

'We bring together dozens of countries from all over the world,' Pompeo said, announcing that the meeting will be held in Poland on February 13 and 14. “These countries will focus on stability in the Middle East and peace, freedom and security in the region and one of its key elements is to ensure that Iran does not have destabilizing influence”, the top US official claimed.

Commenting on Pompeo's remarks, Falahatpisheh noted that the US secretary of state was more of an intelligence officeri rather than a diplomat so that is why he is trying to lead a psychological warfare against Iran.

He reiterated that Pompeo was trying to form a war front against Iran in the United States , an attempt which would , in light of Trump's policies and the US isolation, not actually achieve the tangible result.

The parliamentarian pointed to the US Secretary of State's new policy towards Iran and said, 'Pempo is currently trying to pursue this psychological war in countries like Poland. Poland was part of the Eastern bloc during the Cold War period, and given the fact that it was the venue for the soft war of America and its database, so it is trying to hold the conference in Poland.”

The MP, emphasizing that the Americans will not succeed in this policy either, went on to say that 'these are the same Americans who abandoned international conventions along with international treaties and exited from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) as one of the most unprecedented non-proliferation regimes.'
