About 130 people arrested in illegal gatherings: MP

Last week, several businessmen made protest rallies due to current economic conditions in the country, Javad Koulivand said.

Elaborating on the recent gatherings in the capital, the member of parliament lauded the Iranian police performance for establishing security, peace and tranquility in the society.

He further said that the demonstrators wishing to hold demonstrations have to apply for permission from the interior ministry before doing so.

About a week ago, businesspeople in Tehran Bazaar closed their shops in protest to the country's economic conditions fluctuations in foreign exchange rates.
