'After weeks of reconnaissance, the police could arrest five drug-traffickers and confiscate three Peugeots, 1993 kilograms of opium, two Kalashnikovs, and two hunting rifles, in Mehrestan and Iranshahr counties,' said Colonel Ahmad Taheri.

Colonel Taheri added that in another operation in Hamun County, 518 kilograms of heroin, 154 kilograms of opium, and 92 kilograms of opium extract were discovered.

Two Toyotas, two Kalashnikovs and an enormous amount of ammunition were also found.
