1,370 kg of narcotics seized in SE Iran

The police in Qasr-e Qand and Dalgan regions in a joint operation, ambushed and seized two vehicles belonged to drug dealers, said Colonel Gholam-Reza Jafari.

About 893 kilograms of hashish, 477 kilograms of opium, and two Kalashnikov machine guns were found in the cars. Four drug dealers were also arrested in the operation.

Iran is chosen as a shortcut to the world market of narcotics by drug dealers, so the country has to spend a lot of time, energy and money in dealing with the drug dealers, entering Iran from the eastern borders.

Not many days pass in Iran, without a new finding in the area. Many Iranian soldiers have been killed in the age-old fight against drug-trafficking.
