US' new vote on Iran aircraft contracts ineffective

All the contracts have been sealed based on Iran nuclear deal also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) have been approved by the United Nations, Chief Executive of Iran Civil Aviation Organization Ali Abedzadeh told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Friday.

Despite the cruel sanctions imposed by US on Iran, Iran's aviation industry is developing, he said.

Undoubtedly all companies are committed to contracts and the contracts should be implemented, he added.

United States House of Representatives on Thursday voted to block sales of commercial planes to Iran, some democrat members have warned that the act would weaken nuclear deal.

After the implementation of the JCPOA, Iranian aviation companies have signed contracts with Airbus, Boeing and ATR to purchase over 260 aircraft, seven of which have so far been delivered.

Two other planes are supposed to be delivered to Iran within days.
