He made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Consul General in Kazan Ali Beman Eqbali on Monday.
Referring to the agreement reached during the visit of Khorasan Razavi governor general to Tatarstan for holding first exclusive exhibition of Iran in Kazan, Eqbali said that it will provide an important opportunity for the two sides’ private and public sectors to forge trade and enhance ties.
Some 70 companies and economic institutes are scheduled to take part in the exhibition, he stressed.
Eqbali also proposed holding a one-day meeting concurrent with the exhibition with the top-ranking local officials of Tatarstan, which was welcomed by Karimov.
The Tatar minister, for his part, said that organizing the exhibition is a serious step in line with connecting the two sides' trade and economic sectors.
He also underlined Tatarstan president’s support to bolstering ties with Iran.
Iran’s exclusive exhibition focusing on Khorasan Razavi province will be held in Kazan on December 20-23.
