Switzerland keen on boosting bilateral ties with Iran: Envoy

In a meeting with the Chairman of Majlis (Parliament) Economy Commission Mohammad Reza Pourebrahimi on Monday, he called for optimal use of the two countries’ capacities to this end.

Expressing interest in boosting economic relations with Iran, especially in the field of economy, tourism, medicine and knowledge-based economy, Leitner pointed out that efficient laws will help bolster bilateral ties.

He called for exchanging further parliamentary delegations between the two countries.

Meanwhile, the Iranian MP, for his part, referred to good history of relations between Iran and Switzerland.

He said that bolstering parliamentary cooperation between the two countries will help accelerate activities of the two countries’ private sectors.

The Majlis, especially its specialized commissions, welcome boosting ties with Swiss parliament, Pourebrahimi added.

Recalling the two countries’ numerous economic potentials, Pourebrahimi said that they can have further cooperation in different sectors such as oil and gas, mines, agriculture, tourism, knowledge-based economy and clean energies.

Pourebrahimi praised Swiss parliament and nation’s constructive approach regarding 2015 nuclear deal, officially known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
