Senior Iranian cleric urges gov't to change its economic team

Addressing a large crowd of worshippers in Tehran's Grand Mosalla, Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani said, 'It is said that some of the members of the cabinet's economic team do not agree with the economic policies of the government. Multiplicity of voices in the government's economic decisions is not acceptable.'

Noting that allocating low cost forex to unnecessary travels is a treason to the country, the Ayatollah said that some travels are necessary or a student wants to travel for study purposes, but why should cheap forex be allocated to unnecessary travels?

He also noted that another problem of the Central Bank of Iran is that it is not independent of the government.
