Scania was drawing a contingency plan to continue to deliver spare parts for its trucks and buses in Iran, but nothing was resolved yet Scania's CEO Henrik Henriksson told Reuters on Friday.
The US has pulled out of the landmark 2015 nuclear deal with Iran and re-imposed economic sanctions on the country.
The head of Scania, however, has expressed concern over the impediment the sanctions can cause for exporting its buses and trucks to Iran.
Scania was among the first Western companies that returned to Iran after the EU lifted sanctions in 2016 as the result of the nuclear deal implementation.
Many European companies have objected the US strict measures on Iran.
Defying diplomatic efforts made by his European allies, the US President Donald Trump announced in May 2018 that he withdrew the landmark nuclear deal.
Since then, Washington started putting pressure on world countries to stop their growing cooperation and trade ties with Tehran which was remarkably increasing after the implementation of the historic nuclear deal in 2016.
The nuclear, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed between Iran and world six major powers (US, Russia, Britain, China, France and Germany, in 2015.
