S. Korean investor: Iran can leave behind sanctions

'The high economic capacities and the numerous resources and the patience and unity of the people and the high capabilities of the efficient human resources are the indicators that have provided the opportunity for development and progress of Iran with minimal interdependence, and by relying on them, Iran can pass the sanctions,' William Chang said Tuesday at the sidelines of the exploitation of Parsam Rabber Pharmod Company, which has been launched with the joint venture of Iran and South Korea.

“Iran is a suitable partner for South Korea in economic and commercial ties and there is a serious desire to increase trade and economic relations between the two countries,” he made the remark.

The South Korean Company official went on to say 'while Iran is under sanctions pressure, the cooperation of South Korean companies with Iranian parties is not facing any problem because Iranian counterparts are aware of the rules and it hopes that the sanctions will be resolved for the people of Iran.'

Chang added that the goal of the presence of South Korean manufacturing companies in Iran is not direct import of goods from Korea, but the indigenizing of South Korean products in Iran, which launch of Parsam Rabber Pharmod is a good example of this positive event in cooperation with the joint investment of the Iranian and Korean sides.

“By launching this unit, the next step is to invest in the production of medical packaging products tailored to the needs of the Iranian market in Saveh.

Iran is the best country in the Middle East, which is superior in terms of resources and talents, he said.

The industrial unit Parsam Rabber Pharmod, which operates in the field of medicine, is set up with a joint venture between Iran and South Korea (30 percent of the Korean company's share) whose first stage was exploited with the nominal capacity of 450 million pieces in the year and creating jobs for 80 people. 30 percent of surplus production is aimed at exporting.
