S. Korean companies eager to stay in Iran, says ambassador

The ambassador made the remarks during a conference in the Iranian capital on Monday in which the participants discussed ways to reduce hunger to zero.

The Conference was sponsored by World Food Program in cooperation with the South Korean embassy in Tehran.

Noting that Iran and South Korea enjoy long-standing friendly ties, Ryu said that the two countries have been good partners over the past decades.

South Korea was seriously facing hunger crisis in 1950s, while today after six decades the country is no longer troubled by hunger crisis, the ambassador said.

He urged the need for cultural and diplomatic efforts by different countries to help rid the world of hunger crisis.
