Razavi Khorasan to promote economic ties with Turkmenistan

Addressing Iran-Turkmenistan joint Nowruz rituals held in Bajgiran border crossing, Alireza Razm Hosseini told reporters that lifting problems as regard economic exchanges between two countries is on the agenda.

He also referred to Razavi Khorasan’s good capacities in oil, gas, mines, handicrafts and supplying some products for Turkmenistan.

Referring to some financial problems and differences between two countries, Razm Hosseini said economic exchanges will be developed if these problems will be removed.

Meanwhile, Vice President and Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHTO) Ali Asghar Munesan said the level of relations between Iran and Turkmenistan are developing through reinforcing cultural ties.

Alluding to joint Nowruz ceremony, he said holding cultural events play major role in bilateral understanding and maintaining friendship.

In the meantime, Turkmenistan Culture Minister Atagely Shamuradov described as important developing cultural relations like holding Nowruz rituals in broadening ties between two countries.

Nowruz (meaning new day in Persian) marks the first day of spring.

The Persian New Year is celebrated across the world by various countries, particularly Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, countries falling within the Former Yugoslavia, Republic of Macedonia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan.

It was registered as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009 by the UN.
