President Rouhani opens 3 petchem projects

Three petrochemical projects, namely the third phase of Pardis Petrochemical project, Methanol Unit of Marjan Petrochemicals, and the first phase of Damavand Petrochemical Power Plant were inaugurated by the Iranian president in Asaluyeh.

More than 400 jobs will be created as the three projects becomes operational.

The power plant is to supply the electricity and steam power required for 24 petrochemical complexes in PSEEZ (Pars Special Energy Economic Zone) through four gas turbines and three boilers.

Ministers of oil and defense are accompanying President Rouhani in Asaluyeh.

Asaluyeh is located on the shore of the Persian Gulf some 270 km SE of the provincial capital of Bushehr. It is best known as the site for the land based facilities of the huge PSEEZ (Pars Special Energy Economic Zone) project.
