President Rouhani, upon arrival at Bandar Abbas Airport, expressed hope that the PGSR which has been launched by the Iranian experts and engineers would be inaugurated completely in the near future.
President Rouhani is in Bandar Abbas to open the second phase of the PGSR which is the world's biggest gas condensate refinery.
The first phase of the PGSR came on stream last year.
Once the second phase of PGSR completes, the refinery's production of gasoline will reach 24 million from 12 million liters with Euro-5 [emission] standards per day.
Persian Gulf Star Refinery is located 25 km west of Bandar Abbas in southern Iranian Province of Hormuzgan.
