Daily ‘Jang’ in its editorial comments said that at a time when the international politics is heading towards chaos with US pursuing more aggressive approach towards world states, the Iranian offer of reduced oil rates is a welcoming step and must be availed by Asian countries.
It said China and India, which are major buyers of Iranian oil, have already stated they are not bound to follow US economic sanctions, so Pakistan and all Asian countries should also benefit from this offer.
It added that the US aggressive approach has always resulted into chaos with conflicts among weak countries.
It said that Iran's Ministry of Petroleum has announced that Tehran offers and sells its oil at a discount to its Asian customers, which is a good development, however; the Iranian government has not yet disclosed that upto which level this discount can be availed.
‘Jang’ said that Iranian offer is according to international rules and regulations and the countries do make such offers keeping in view their own interests.
The editorial went on to say that things got improved when former US President Barack Obama had signed a nuclear deal with Iran, but Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the landmark agreement has put the whole world peace in danger.
The paper added the US and other countries who prefer their interest, should realize the fact that the world has changed now and they cannot invade a country militarily in the name of democracy.
