Oman after signing free trade agreement with Iran

Mohammed Al Yusuf made the call in a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Muscat Mohammad Reza Nouri Shahroudi.

He also expressed Oman's readiness to boost trade relations with Iran.

The Omani official underlined joint investment by Iranian and Omani firms and development of trade ties between two countries.

Nouri Shahroudi, for his part, referred to religious, geographical, social and historical commonalities between two countries, saying they have prepared the grounds for promotion of mutual economic relations.

He also called for development of aviation and maritime fleets of both countries, facilitation of visa issuance and also Iranian economic activists’ investment in Oman.

The Iranian ambassador invited Omani official to attend the 17th joint economic commission meeting slated to be held in Tehran from June 27-28.
