Min: Private sector can be used to overcome sanctions

Speaking to Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on the sidelines of ceremonies marking the National Day of Industry and Mines that private sector plays a grave role in facilitating trade and annulling sanctions.

He said under sanctions and economic pressures, the private sector can have more regular and more extensive ties with the world due to its high flexibility and based on the claims of the ill-wishers of Iran, who say sanctions are against government not the nation.

'Always and whenever – either at the time of sanctions threats or when there is no problem- we should put the private sector in the centerpiece of all economic activities because it can drastically help the people and the country,' he added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Shariatmadari said Americans will cause problems for the non-oil exports too, but targets have been specified and the exporters and economic activists are expected to strive on the frontline like frontline soldiers to raise exports compared to the previous years.

He said among other programs of the US to sanction Iran are limiting Iranian financial and banking transfer and restrict Iranian transportation industries.
