The meeting was held with participation of Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan.
'Six meetings have been held in different countries so far, as a result of which some plans, including the map of distribution and tectonics, were implemented,' said the head of the international affairs of Iran's Institute of Geology in the meeting.
Mohammad Meiguni added that Iran has tried that the meetings to be held on a regular basis so that the ECO experts can be better related.
ECO holds such meetings to support the member-states, said Ali Farzali-bayef, the head of committee of mines, energy and the environment, and added the strategic location and mining capacity of these countries can play an important role in their development.
The experts attending the meeting had a visit to Qorveh Gold Mine, Jordestan Province, west of Iran, and are going to have visit to Anguran Mine in Zanjan, 300km to the northwest of Tehran, tomorrow.
