Italy eager to invest in Iran

The conference was co-organized by Iran-Italy Chamber of Commerce and Iran diplomatic mission in Rome.

Italian economic officials, directors of banks and law experts from Iran and Italy underscored Iran's strategic situation in Asia and its capabilities attracting investments.

Participants also highlighted the fact that Iran’s regulations is good enough for supporting foreign entrepreneurs.

The secretary general of Iran-Italy Chamber of Commerce said Iran enjoys great capacities and is a key country in globalizing Italian firms.

Working with Iran in all fields is based on a win-win pattern, he added.

Italy imports Iranian crude oil and some Italian provinces like Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna and Marche have started cooperating with Iran in especial fields.

Italy had earlier signed a MoU worth 5 billion euro to finance development and production projects in Iran.
