Italian media widely cover unveiling of Iran's reverse-engineered Lamborghini

Italy's La Repubblica newspaper in an article titled 'Lamborghini Murcielago Was Reborn in Iran' wrote: This is a very precise replica and close to the original model with the only difference being it engine has just hit the production line and a total of 100 of such model with V6 Hyundai engine will be manufactured.

It wrote that the result of reverse-engineered model is quite amazing.

Other Italian newspapers also wrote similar articles on Iran's Lamborghini.

The Lamborghini Murcielago, the successor to the storied Diablo and the Countach bloodlines as Sant'Agata's flagship supercar, is nothing short of a legend, having served as the marque's top offering between 2001 and 2010. And the SuperVeloce variant of the Murcielago with 661 hp on tap, courtesy of a 6.5-liter V12 engine, is regarded as the ultimate version of this supercar, as you will recall.

'The car was built in reverse-engineering method using the Lamborghini Murcielago SV as a sample, and it took four years from the time it was redesigned to the end of the prototype construction,' head of the project Massoud Moradi said.

The goal of the project was to develop the technical knowledge and methods for the construction of supercars. The team, therefore, selected a 'unique model of a superior brand' for this exercise, copying the car part by part, but curiously skipping the main attraction: the 6.5-liter V12.
