
“A delegation of Iraqi businessmen actively participated in the exhibition in cooperation with Trade Promotion Organization of Iran,' Naser Behzad, said Wednesday in an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) in Tehran.
Behzad also pointed out an annual export of about $ 100 million of garment industry products from Iran to Iraq, saying that it is a very good ground for exporting a variety of clothing products as a priority.
He added, 'Under the present conditions there is a capacity for $ 2.5 billion annually for the garment exports to Iraq, which is applicable to the Iranian companies due to per capita consumption of garment consumption in Iraq ($ 250).'
Behzad pointed out the presence of other countries in Iraq's clothing supply, including Turkey, China, India, Italy, Lebanon and Syria.
